The Coalition for Disaster Resilient Infrastructure (CDRI) is the premier intergovernmental organization in the world dedicated to building infrastructure that is sustainable, resilient, and leaves no one behind. Its mission and work streams have already attracted national governments, multilateral development banks, and UN agencies.

CDRI is designed to share disaster and resilient knowledge, promote capacity building and training, and create a mass movement of stakeholders whose lives and property and well-being depend on quality infrastructure. Every great movement needs a vanguard to lead the charge. CDRI is poised to ignite a unifying vision to bring people together around the world. With foresight and institutional drive, CDRI can create a legacy that will benefit every person on the planet, not only for people alive today, but for generations to come.

The mobilization effort will be immense, necessitating a well-designed participatory plan that will operate at many levels. Director General Amit Prothi is charged with synthesizing the innumerable array of ideas and actions arising from CDRI’s governance structure, providing organizational and communication plans to mobilize support for its growth and global impact. Individuals and organizations who aspire to become builders of civilization have a duty to step up.

The Coalition for Disaster Resilient Infrastructure, a unifying global vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, is bringing together national governments, multilateral development banks, UN agencies, and others to create a new global good, improve the lives of people around the world, and establish a legacy achievement to help future generations. The mass movement, which Prime Minister Modi envisions, is guided by the moral imperative to “leave no one behind.”
