Atlas is delighted to be a partner of WFEO and wholeheartedly supports the Summary Document for the WFEO Model Code of Practice – Climate Adaptation and Resilience for Engineers – WFEO Working Group on Climate Change under the leadership of WFEO President Mustafa Shehu. This document, chaired by Davide Stronati, builds on the excellent work of Engineers Canada, and its past leaders Darrel Danyluk, David Lapp and Jeanette Southwood at Engineers Canada and others.
Atlas and its current President Guna Gunalan are active partners in advancing WFEO’s leadership in Sustainable and Resilient Infrastructure. Atlas jointly supporting the WFEO 2023 Prague Declaration with WFEO President Mustafa Shehu and Past President Jose Veira, T20/G20 Paper Investments in Climate and Disaster Resilient Infrastructure co-authored with Ashok Kumar Basa, Executive Vice President, World Federation of Engineering Organizations/India and ASCE’s Tom Smith, and the UPADI Washington Declaration March 2023 signed by UPADI Past President Ari Herrera.
And most recently, the WFEO Model Code complements and supports the Pan American Academy of Engineering 2025 Panama Declaration spearheaded by its president Jose Domingo Perez from Puerto Rico. We look forward to continuing to support WFEO leadership to advance sustainable and resilient infrastructure and make the world a better place for all people.
